2015 INTRODUCTIONS

2015 INTRODUCTIONS

I am happy to present my 2015 introductions.  All registration information has been submitted to the AHS registrar.  Most of the introductions are extremely limited due to prior reservations and fewer stock since I am a hobby hybridizer.  Please email me at wilprof@aol.com to confirm availability of the cultivars you would like to order.  The shipping charges are $10 for the first 3 cultivars and then $2 for each additional cultivar.  There will be no bonus plants with new introductions.  2015 introductions will be SF but many will have increased to at least DFs by time of shipment.  I can begin shipping in mid April of 2015.  I take checks made out to William Marchant or paypal payments to wilprof@aol.com.  I hope that you will enjoy my "babies" as much as I have.

UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE x CHAOTIC DESIGN)
This beauty is has a cream base with a beautifully patterned eyezone of blue lavender with multiple bands of color break.  The pattern is also on the sepals along with a band of metallic green.  LIVE LONG AND PROSPER is very fertile both ways.  The first offpring have been very nice and I will bloom another large crop of seedlings from it this coming year.  I made lots of seeds with it again this year and will continue to breed with it for a long time.

ANGELS IN AMERICA
TETRAPLOID, 28" scape, 6" flower, 2-3 way branching, 12-15 buds, DOR, EM, RE, fertile both ways
(JUST FABULOUS x tetra KALEIDOSCOPE EFFECT)
The first of two introductions this year from the conversion of Jamie Gossard's KALEIDOSCOPE EFFECT.  These will be the first two introductions from this conversion.  This one has been drawing attention for the past few years.  I have a long waiting list on this one already.  While it doesn't have the branching that I would like to see in my introductions, it has a long bloom season due to its rebloom.  I haven't seen another introduction like it anywhere.  I have not used it much until this past summer in my hybridizing.  I have only bloomed 3 seedlings from it so far.  I made seeds with it this past season with the patterned cultivars from Guy Pierce.  It is a  beautiful lavender cream pink with a black purple eye and edge.  There is a white pattern on both the petals and sepals.  I have referred to this one as my "floating angel" seedling.

A CRIMSON ROAR
TETRAPLOID, 32" scapes, 5.5" flowers, 3-4 way branching, 18-25 buds, DOR, EM, RE, easily fertile both ways
(seedling involving PASSIONS PROMISE x VENUS FLYTRAP)
A CRIMSON ROAR has been a great parent for me.  It never fails to get attention.  While I don't always enjoy stipples, there is something about this daylily that I fell in love with.  It is a rose red with a lighter pinkish rose eye.  It is dotted with white stipples.  I has a deep green heart in the throat.  The petals are surrounded by white teeth and tentacles and the sepals are surrounded with a white edge.

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING

(FANTASTIC FRINGE x RANDY STEPHENS)

A pink bitone with a light pink eye and matches the sepals.  This one takes a year to get established and show off its stuff.  The petals are surrounded by white teeth.  I have not used this one in breeding so I am not sure if it is pod fertile.  The pollen looks great.

(JUST FABULOUS x tetra KALEIDOSCOPE EFFECT)

A lavender cinnamon blend with a dark purple eye and edge.  There is a feathered effect in the throat.  This one blooms and blooms.  It is a good increaser so I am offering this one at a lower price in order to get the genetics from tetra KALEIDOSCOPE EFFECT in the hands of many hybridizers.

JACK O'LANTERN SMILE
TETRAPLOID, 27" scape, 8" flower, 4 way branching, 27 buds, DOR, EM, RE
(RUCKUS x HEAVENLY ORANGE BLAZE)
A beautiful dark orange with a slightly darker eyezone.  The petals are surrounded by large yellow gold teeth.  The teeth will sometimes appear on the sepals as well.  I have not found this one to be pod fertile but the pollen is good.  Jamie Gossard told me that there aren't many good deep oranges with teeth on the market.  I consider this one to be very nice.  EXTREMELY limited.

IRIDESCENT SPLENDOR

TETRAPLOID, 31" scape, 7-9" flower, 3 way branching, 18-20 buds, EV, EM, RE, fertile both ways but easier as a pollen parent
(VIVA GLAM GIRL x DOUBLE EXPLOSION)

This is the first introduction from my VIVA GLAM GIRL which is proving to be quite the parent.  This one has amazed me since its first bloom.  I am bringing this one to market with VERY limited stock.  Most of what I have to release has already been sold.  It begins the season as a 9 inch bloom and then settles down to 7-8 inches.  It is pink with a darker pink eye and a lighter serrated edge.  I have been working on unusual formed tetraploid doubles and this is the first that I will release.  It is 100% double.

WHEN ANGELS CRY

DIPLOID, 22" scape, 6" flower, 2-3 way branching, 12-15 buds, DOR, ML, RE, fertile both ways and a great parent
(BROWN EXOTICA x ROSE F KENNEDY)

A lavender chocolate with a purple eye and large yellow green throat.  I would not normally introduce something with a budcount this low but have you seen anything that looks like this one?  It is a remarkable parent and breeds off spring that have tall branches, excellent branching and loads of buds.  It also breeds in many colors.  This past season I took it to patterns.  I have called this one my "what can brown do for you" daylily.
